Peacock Solar Project Unveiling on January 24 in San Patricio County

Exciting news for San Patricio County as the highly anticipated solar project is gearing up to kick off later this month. Set to be unveiled on January 24, the project, known as Project Peacock, promises to bring a positive impact to the entire community.

This groundbreaking venture, a collaboration between Gulf Coast Growth Ventures and Lightsource, has been in the works since 2023. Situated close to the GCGV complex in Gregory, Project Peacock will provide power for the company’s operations, supporting the production of a range of essential materials. These materials are used in the manufacturing of clothing, food containers, packaging, agricultural film, and construction materials.

With its anticipated launch later this month, Project Peacock is poised to make a significant contribution to the sustainable energy landscape of San Patricio County. Stay tuned for more updates as this exciting project gets underway!
