Disney+ Planning a ‘Holes’ TV Series Reboot
A “Holes” TV series reboot is officially in the works at Disney+ with a pilot already ordered. The series, based on Louis Sachar’s 1998 book, will follow a teenage girl sent to a detention camp where campers are forced to dig holes for a mysterious purpose.
Alina Mankin will write and executive produce the series, with Liz Phang as showrunner. Drew Goddard will also executive produce, alongside Walden Media, which produced the 2003 film.
The original film starring Shia LaBeouf grossed $71 million worldwide, so critics are eager to see how the reboot measures up. Will you be watching? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
