The BMW experience at CES 2025 was quite the spectacle this year. From the mysterious lock-box design to the promise of an exclusive reveal, attendees were in for a treat. And let me tell you, they got it all – theater, celebrities, experts, lounges, coffee, music, car displays, and test drives.

As we approached the giant black box building, we were greeted by larger-than-life QR codes that beckoned us to reserve a spot at one of the scheduled shows happening throughout the day. While seats filled up fast, we decided to try our luck in the standby line and were pleasantly surprised to get in after just a short wait. The theater, set up to seat around 100 people, featured spacious bench seating, dim lighting, spotlights, and impressive installations that loomed in the shadows.

The event kicked off with a bang as brand ambassadors introduced the special host, comedian Tim Meadows, who led the audience into a whimsical world where everyone “shrinks” to explore the new Panoramic iDrive dashboard and BMW Panoramic Vision. It was like something out of a sci-fi movie!

With a giant windshield screen in front of us, passenger windows on the side, and a massive BMW steering wheel, dashboard, sunglasses, and even a coffee cup to complete the experience, attendees were able to interact with the new operating system right from their seats. And let’s not forget about the hilarious appearances by product experts, including David Leister, BMW UI design lead, and comedian Ken Jeong, who played a mischievous troublemaker on screen.

The whole production was a sight to behold, with driving experiences showcased on the “windshield,” laser effects, and walk-on and walk-off music that added to the drama. And to top it all off, the shrinking illusion was reversed at the end, leaving attendees feeling like they had just stepped out of a movie.

All in all, the BMW experience at CES 2025 was a showstopper, combining technology, entertainment, and pure fun in a way that wowed audiences. It was an event that truly lived up to the hype.
