Roy Wood Jr’s New Hulu Special Premieres with Official Trailer – LateNighter

Hulu is gearing up to release Roy Wood Jr’s new stand-up special, “Lonely Flowers,” next week after teasing fans with a trailer that features Roy joking about topics like locked-up retail store shelves and security questions.

This will be Roy Wood Jr’s fourth special, but his first for Hulu. So far, he has released three hours of comedy on Comedy Central and you can catch each of those specials on their YouTube channel.

“Lonely Flowers” was directed by C. Craig Patterson and was filmed at the Lincoln Theatre in Washington D.C. After leaving The Daily Show in 2023, Roy Wood Jr. went on to host CNN’s comedy panel show, “Have I Got News For You,” which starts its second season on February 15.

But Roy’s comedy career goes way back before his TV gigs. He made his network standup debut on “The Late Show with David Letterman” in 2006 and even hosted the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in 2023. Now, you can catch Roy Wood Jr.: Lonely Flowers on Hulu starting January 17, and if you’re outside the US, you can stream it on Disney+.

Excited to see what Roy has in store for us in this new special? It’s right around the corner, so get ready to laugh it up!
