According to Deadline, the docuseries will provide an inside look at their lives and is being produced by Critical Content, known for their work on Netflix’s Sly and MTV’s Catfish. Nelly, 50, and Ashanti, 44, who rekindled their romance in 2023 after dating from 2003 to 2013, are both serving as executive producers under their legal names, Cornell and Ashanti Haynes.

The couple welcomed their first child, a baby boy born in July, and quietly tied the knot in December 2023. This docuseries will be a first for Ashanti, as the “Country Grammar” rapper previously starred in BET’s 2014 unscripted series, Nellyville, which showcased his life as a rapper and father.

Many have noticed how happy Nelly seems with Ashanti since they got back together, with the Grammy-winning singer praising her as a great person and mother. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Nelly shared, “She’s a great person, she’s a great mother…So to have that person with you, it’s like, ‘yeah, that’s it.’” Ashanti also expressed her gratitude for having her soulmate and best friend by her side.
