Disney+ Holes Series Pilot Greenlit

Exciting news for fans of the beloved novel “Holes” by Louis Sachar! Disney+ has given the green light for a pilot episode of a TV series based on the book, as reported exclusively by Variety.

If you’re a fan of the original Disney feature film from 2003, you’ll be thrilled to know that this upcoming series will be inspired by the same story. Alina Mankin will be handling writing and executive producing duties, with Liz Phang stepping into the role of showrunner and executive producer.

Not only that, but Drew Goddard will join the team as an executive producer under his company, Goddard Textiles, along with Sarah Esberg. Walden Media, known for its involvement in the film adaptation of “Holes,” is set to produce the pilot episode, marking a long-awaited development for the series adaptation.
