Poppy Liu Teases ‘Hacks’ Season 4 Return to Vegas

Hacks is coming back for Season 4 on Max, and fans are eagerly anticipating what’s next for Poppy Liu’s character, Kiki. If you remember, Kiki is Deborah Vance’s trusty blackjack dealer, and it looks like she’ll be back at the tables in Vegas. Talking to TV Insider, Liu shared that it’s been a blast getting back on set for Hacks Season 4.

Without giving too much away, Liu hinted, “I guess all I will say is that you do get to see Kiki again behind a blackjack table in Vegas.” This news is intriguing, especially since we last saw Deborah pursuing a new opportunity in Los Angeles.

For Liu, returning to film Season 4 was a joy after a brief appearance in Season 3 due to welcoming a new addition to her family. She shared, “I don’t think there’s any other job I would’ve done 30 days after I gave birth other than Hacks, just because I love them. We have this history together. I just knew that I would be so taken care of. They’re family to me and they’re like my TV family in a lot of ways.”

As for Kiki’s role in Season 4, it seems like she’ll be back to dealing blackjack after a quick stint in a fashion show in the previous season. Liu mentioned, “I haven’t dealt blackjack as Kiki in a minute. For Season 1, they had me have a blackjack trainer, and for Season 4, the woman who runs the blackjack table floor, who is amazing, ended up helping us a lot with blackjack continuity and gave me a really quick brief.”

Liu expressed confidence in her blackjack skills, saying, “And maybe it’s muscle memory. I was killing it. I’ve still got it.” It’ll be exciting to see Kiki back in action, dealing cards and keeping fans entertained. Stay tuned for more updates on Hacks Season 4 as they come out.
