Woody Harrelson and Justin Theroux Discuss Recreating Watergate for White House Plumbers

HBO Max is expanding its lineup of original series with “White House Plumbers,” a five-part limited series focusing on the Watergate scandal. The show will be executive produced by David Mandel and Alex Gregory, the team behind the hit HBO comedy “Veep.”

“White House Plumbers” will star Woody Harrelson as E. Howard Hunt and Justin Theroux as G. Gordon Liddy, the infamous figures at the center of the Watergate break-in. The series will delve into the events leading up to the scandal and the subsequent cover-up that ultimately led to President Richard Nixon’s resignation.

In addition to Harrelson and Theroux, the cast of “White House Plumbers” will also include Domhnall Gleeson, Lena Headey, and Kiernan Shipka. The series is set to begin filming in the fall of 2021.
