Jake Peacock: Inspirational One-Handed Fighter Set to Return to ONE Championship
One-handed fighter Jake Peacock, known for competing without his right hand and forearm, is gearing up for his return to ONE Championship action on February 20. He made a dazzling debut live on Sky Sports and is now set to fight on the same card as Jonathan Haggerty’s kickboxing world title bout with Wei Rui.
Peacock, who is missing his right hand and forearm, is on a mission to showcase his world-class Muay Thai skills. After claiming victory in his ONE Championship debut in April, he is ready to face Shinji Suzuki at the Lusail Sports Arena in Qatar on February 20. Originally scheduled to fight in November, their Muay Thai bout was postponed and will now be part of the same event as the Haggerty vs Rui title fight, live on Sky Sports.
Reflecting on his impressive debut, Peacock shared his excitement, saying, “I told you it was going to be a spectacular showing and a debut to watch and it sure was. I was very happy with the performance. I enjoyed myself. I probably enjoyed myself a little bit too much. I was loving every moment of it.”
