Dr. Seuss is well-known for his imaginative children’s stories that never fail to captivate audiences. His colorful characters and creative plots have also translated seamlessly into movie adaptations, with three Seuss movies currently dominating the streaming charts.

One of the most popular Seuss adaptations is “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” originally published in 1957. This classic story has been brought to life in various adaptations, including a live-action version starring Jim Carrey from the 2000s and an Illumination film starring Benedict Cumberbatch released in 2018. These two films, along with another Seuss adaptation, are currently at the top of the streaming charts.

While the Grinch movies can be expected to be popular during the holiday season, the third Seuss adaptation making waves is a bit unexpected. “The Lorax,” released in 2012 by Illumination and starring Danny DeVito, has also climbed its way to the top of the charts.

Interestingly, the surge in popularity of “The Lorax” may be linked to recent events, as the suspect in the shooting of UnitedHealthcare’s CEO has claimed “The Lorax” as his favorite story on social media platforms.

All three of these movies made it to the top 10 on the streaming service Peacock during the week of December 20th. With the 2018 and 2000 Grinch films taking the first and second spots, respectively, “The Lorax” found itself comfortably at spot number 10.
