National treasure Colin Firth is back on our screens in Peacock’s limited-series, Lockerbie: A Search for Truth. Firth plays the father of a daughter who tragically lost her life in the Pan Am Flight 103 explosion over Lockerbie, Scotland back in 1988. The series follows his character as he becomes a voice for the victim’s families, demanding answers and justice. For a sneak peek at the series, check out the trailer below.

Switching gears to something lighter, The Way Home is returning for its highly anticipated third season this Friday. Originally set to debut on Hallmark’s new streaming service, the show will now air on both Hallmark+ and the Hallmark Channel, thanks to fan feedback. Andie MacDowell, who stars in the series, shares her thoughts on the change and teases some exciting moments to come in the new season.

MacDowell has a longstanding relationship with Hallmark, dating back to her role in Cedar Cove, the network’s first scripted series. She appreciates the special connection with fans and the joy the show brings, making it a unique experience for her. In the upcoming season of The Way Home, some unexpected time travel shenanigans are in store, offering viewers a fresh perspective on Del and Colton’s love story.

Del’s softer moments with Colton are particularly special to MacDowell, as they reveal a different side to her character. Despite Del’s tough exterior, these intimate scenes showcase her vulnerability and add depth to her character. MacDowell’s candor and openness have earned her a spot in Glamour’s forthcoming Icons Only feature, so keep an eye out for that next week.
