Eli Manning, along with Omaha Productions, is set to produce a new series on Hulu called Chad Powers, starring Glen Powell, based on a skit from ESPN. Powell, who is not only starring in the show but co-creating, co-writing, and executive producing it under his production company Barnstorm Productions with Michael Waldron. The series, a half-hour comedy, will be a Hulu Original, with Anomaly Pictures executive producing alongside Powell and Waldron.
The original skit that inspired Chad Powers featured Eli Manning trying out as a walk-on at Penn State, which gave Powell the idea to set the show at a Southern school to reflect his Texas roots. Powell and Waldron co-wrote the pilot for the show, which will stream on Hulu and is produced by 20th Television.
