‘Paradise’
Sterling K. Brown (“Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”) stars as Xavier Collins, a member of the Secret Service who is the last person to see the president (James Marsden) alive before he dies mysteriously in the night. Suspicion falls on Collins, who has to navigate the twisted world of Washington politics to get answers. Dan Fogelman is the creator, and after 40 fantastic episodes of “Only Murders in the Building” he definitely knows how to make a whodunnit worth watching. Watch it: Mystery. ‘Dark Match’
Professional wrestling can be hell, but “Dark Match” takes that literally. A small promotion takes a gig to a rural backwater town only to find that their performance is part of a cult’s diabolical ritual. Ayisha Issa (“The Expanse”) is the company’s top draw, and she ends up fighting for her life in a series of bizarre death matches. Former WWE Grand Slam Champion Chris Jericho, who also had a role in cult horror hit “Terrifier 2,” plays the cult’s leader. Watch it: Horror. Streaming on Shudder starting Friday, Jan. 31.
