Creature Commandos Season 2 Renewed on Max: Exciting News for Fans
DC Studios has exciting news for Creature Commandos fans—season two is on the way! The Max Original’s adult animated series, known for its misfit monster heroes, will debut new episodes every Thursday on Max, with the season one finale landing on 9 January 2025.
Produced by DC Studios and Warner Bros. Animation, Creature Commandos represents the first title in the new DC universe. The season one cast features a star-studded lineup including Steve Agee, Maria Bakalova, Anya Chalotra, Zoe Chao, Frank Grillo, Sean Gunn, David Harbour, Alan Tudyk, Indira Varma, and Viola Davis.
HBO & Max comedy programming executive vice president Amy Gravitt expressed her delight in continuing the show’s stories, crediting James Gunn for creating a band of monsters that capture the audience’s hearts. The series follows a secret team of imprisoned monsters recruited for perilous missions only they can handle. James Gunn, co-chairperson of DC Studios, leads the writing team, alongside executive producers Peter Safran, Dean Lorey, and Sam Register. Rick Morales serves as the supervising producer.
Creature Commandos originated in the DC comic Weird War Tales volume one issue 93, dating back to November 1980. The show has captivated fans with its imaginative storytelling and unique family of heroes.
