In 2024, Bruce Springsteen had a busy year after having to postpone his tour in 2023 due to health issues. The Boss made a strong comeback, hitting the road in April and touring the U.S. and Europe. Although he had to reschedule some shows in Europe because of vocal problems, he’s gearing up for another European tour next summer.

One of the highlights of the year was the announcement of a movie based on the making of Springsteen’s 1982 album, Nebraska. Deliver Us From Nowhere, inspired by the book Deliver Me from Nowhere, will feature Jeremy Allen White as The Boss and is currently in production.

Springsteen also surprised fans by joining Zach Bryan on stage for two songs during his tour, creating memorable moments for audiences. Additionally, Bruce guest-starred on Curb Your Enthusiasm, adding his talent to the popular HBO Max comedy series.

In recognition of his exceptional songwriting, Springsteen was honored as the Academy Fellow of The Ivors Academy, becoming the first international songwriter to receive this prestigious award. Furthermore, he marked the 40th anniversary of his renowned album Born in the U.S.A. by releasing an anniversary edition on translucent red vinyl.

Forbes magazine caused a stir by claiming that Bruce had reached billionaire status, a statement he later refuted. Nonetheless, Springsteen capped off the year headlining the Sea. Hear. Now festival in Asbury Park, treating fans to a set filled with classics from his early career.

As if that wasn’t enough excitement, Springsteen also turned 75 in September, marking another milestone in his legendary career. His bandmate Stevie Van Zandt had a remarkable year as well, celebrated with a street named after him and his brother Billy Van Zandt in their hometown of Middletown, New Jersey. Stevie’s documentary, Stevie Van Zandt: Disciple, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and earned a Grammy nomination for Best Music Film, rounding out a year of accomplishments for the E Street Band members.
