ChatGPT Unavailable Due to OpenAI Outage
An OpenAI outage is causing some hiccups for ChatGPT users today. The trouble started around 2 p.m. ET, with nearly 15,000 people reporting issues initially. Although that number has gone down, hundreds are still struggling with errors.
OpenAI has identified the problem as an “upstream provider” issue and is working on resolving it. ChatGPT, the API, and Sora were all impacted, but Sora is now back up and running smoothly. Users can access ChatGPT, but they can’t make any requests to the bot at the moment.
The outage has been persisting for a few hours now, and there’s no word on when it will be fixed. This isn’t the first time OpenAI has faced this kind of issue recently, as they had a similar outage lasting six hours just two weeks ago, according to TechCrunch.
OpenAI assures users that they’re working on recovering the system, so hopefully things will be back to normal soon. Stay tuned for more updates as the situation develops.
