Dua Lipa on the Challenges of Using High-End Speakers in a Studio

She mentioned, “The problem with really good speakers in a studio is that it makes a lot of things sound good, and then you leave the studio and you’re like, wait a second, this wasn’t exactly how I remember this.”
She went on to emphasize the importance of listening to your music on different devices, suggesting that testing it on not-so-good headphones can provide a more accurate representation. According to Dua, “It’s my favourite place to listen to music… there’s nothing more exciting than hearing something you’ve just worked on and getting really excited about it.”
Dua shared her personal experience with her hit song “Training Season,” explaining how listening to it in the car convinced her that she had something special on her hands. The process of leaving the studio, getting into the car, and listening to the track on repeat until she got home made her confident that she was on the right track with that song.
