Eva Birthistle from ‘Bad Sisters’ Enjoys Show’s Highlight, Recreates at Home

Eve Hewson, who plays Becka on Bad Sisters, has her own way of bringing part of herself to the character. She revealed that she only wears really crazy socks in real life, so combining socks with sandals for Becka became her signature look.

It all started with a suggestion from the series’ costume designer during their first fitting for season one. “Costume designer Camille Benda, in our first fitting for season one, was like, you could wear, I don’t know, maybe socks with sandals. And I was like, ‘Oh my god, I’ve found my character.’” Now, at every fitting, a variety of socks with different prints and designs are laid out for her to choose from.

As for the storyline of Bad Sisters Season 2, the episodes are full of twists and turns. The loss of Grace in a fatal car accident early in the season was just the beginning. Birthistle teased, “You’ll be on the edge of your sofa—and will probably fall off it because there are so many shocks!” She also praised the brilliant scripts by Sharon Horgan, saying that she has truly outdone herself in this new series.
