Apple TV+ Renews ‘Bad Monkey’ for Season 2
Apple TV+ has exciting news for fans of the Vince Vaughn-led series Bad Monkey! After the successful first season, the streaming platform has officially renewed the show for another season. Based on Carl Hiaasen’s novel of the same name, Bad Monkey follows the story of Andrew Yancy, a former Miami police officer turned health inspector in the Florida Keys.
In the series, Yancy stumbles upon a human arm washed ashore, sparking a murder investigation that leads him back into the world of police work. Along the way, he encounters a colorful array of characters and faces various challenges, including a mischievous monkey that adds a touch of comedy to the mix.
Created by Bill Lawrence and executive-produced by Vaughn himself, Bad Monkey has been described as a “fan-favorite” by Matt Cherniss, head of programming at Apple TV+. The upcoming season promises more hilarious and sun-soaked adventures, continuing the quirky and entertaining storytelling that fans have come to love.
The first season features a talented cast including L Scott Caldwell, Rob Delaney, Meredith Hagner, Natalie Martinez, Alex Moffat, Michelle Monaghan, Ronald Peet, and Jodie Turner-Smith, with special guest appearances from John Ortiz, Zach Braff, Ashley Nicole Black, Scott Glenn, and Charlotte Lawrence in her television debut.
