Lucinda Martinez Named Chief Marketing Officer at HarbourView
The team at HarbourView Equity Partners has made some exciting new hires! Lucinda Martinez, a Netflix and WarnerMedia veteran, is stepping into the role of Chief Marketing Officer, while Deborah Renteria will be joining as the Vice President of Brand and Content Strategy.
Martinez, who founded The CultureShaker, will lead all brand, marketing, and PR efforts for HarbourView and its portfolio companies. With a portfolio of over 70 music catalogs, including artists like Nelly and Wiz Khalifa, HarbourView has become a major player in the entertainment world since its launch in 2021, amassing $1.6 billion in assets under management.
But HarbourView isn’t stopping at music. The firm recently acquired Mucho Mas Media, the production company behind the Netflix hit film “The Long Game,” and has funded a series of Hip Hop biopics in collaboration with well-known studios and producers. Usher’s concert film “Rendezvous in Paris” is also among their recent investments.
With Martinez as CMO and Renteria as VP of Brand and Content Strategy, all of these assets and investments will get a fresh new direction. Martinez, who previously led brand and multicultural marketing at Netflix and WarnerMedia, brings a wealth of experience. Renteria, known for her work at Lionsgate, Facebook, and HBO, is an expert in content development and audience engagement.
HarbourView founder and CEO Sherrese Clarke Soares expressed her excitement about the new hires, saying, “It was only a matter of time before we needed a formidable CMO and marketing team to lead HarbourView’s overall brand management and connectivity between culture drivers and the stakeholders we service.”
Martinez shared her enthusiasm for joining HarbourView, stating, “It’s a privilege to join forces alongside Sherrese to maximize the value of her growing film, music, and sports assets.”
Additionally, HarbourView recently secured $500 million in debt financing led by KKR, signaling their dedication to investing in valuable intellectual property across a wide range of sectors beyond music. It’s clear that HarbourView’s future is bright, with its sights set on expanding its reach and impact in the entertainment industry.
