TV Q&A: Will Netflix Steelers game air locally?
The Steelers are set to face off against the Chiefs on Christmas Day at 1 p.m., and you can catch the action either on Netflix or locally on KDKA-TV. That means you don’t need a Netflix subscription to tune into the game in your hometown market.
And since it wouldn’t feel like Christmas without a little Mariah Carey, you’re in luck. Mariah will be kicking off the game with a special performance of “All I Want For Christmas Is You.” It’s the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit.
When it comes to other classic Christmas specials like “Mr. Magoo’s Christmas Carol,” it’s natural for some to fade into the background over time. While you might not catch it on major broadcast channels like NBC anymore, you can still find it on YouTube, Amazon’s Prime Video, or Indixpix for streaming. You can even grab a DVD copy if you’re looking to add it to your collection.
Fans of the lesser-known TV movie “The Christmas Tree” might be searching for where they can find this gem. Filmed right here in Pittsburgh, this heartwarming tale starring Julie Harris and Andrew McCarthy is not currently available on streaming platforms. But, there is hope! A clear copy can be found on YouTube for now until any potential copyright claims take it down, so go check it out while you can.
Each of these holiday favorites has its story, and it’s always fun to reminisce on the classics. If you have any questions about these or any other TV shows or movies, feel free to reach out.
