Season 2 of Bad Monkey Renewed by Apple TV+
Apple TV+ has officially renewed the popular series, “Bad Monkey,” for a second season. The show premiered on the streaming platform in August and wrapped up its first season in October. For fans of the novel by Carl Hiaasen that the series is based on, you’ll be excited to know that Season 2 is in the works!
One interesting tidbit is that while there is a sequel novel to “Bad Monkey” called “Razor Girl,” the second season will take a different direction and not follow the storyline of the book. Bill Lawrence, the creative force behind the show, joined forces with Vince Vaughn, who takes on the lead role in the series.
In addition to Vaughn, Season 1 featured a talented cast including L. Scott Caldwell, Rob Delaney, Meredith Hagner, Natalie Martinez, Alex Moffat, Michelle Monaghan, Ronald Peet, and Jodie Turner-Smith. Special guest star John Ortiz and guest stars like Zach Braff, Ashley Nicole Black, Scott Glenn, and Charlotte Lawrence also made memorable appearances in the show.
Behind the scenes, Lawrence steers the ship as showrunner and executive producer through his production company, Doozer Productions. Vaughn not only delivers a stellar performance as the lead but also serves as an executive producer. Joining them are Jeff Ingold, Lisa Katzer, Matt Tarses, and Marcos Siega as executive producers. The show is produced by Warner Bros. Television, where Lawrence has an overall deal.
It’s exciting to see the talented team behind “Bad Monkey” come together to bring us more entertaining and thrilling episodes in the upcoming second season!
