TV Schedule for December 16th-22nd
This week on TV, there are some exciting shows to look out for. In “Strike: The Ink Black Heart” on Monday on BBC One at 9.00pm, private detective Cormoran Strike, played by Tom Burke, is back with his assistant Robin, played by Holliday Grainger as they try to solve a mystery involving an online troll named Anomie. The mystery takes Robin and Strike to Highgate Cemetery where they discover a dead creator from a popular cartoon series.
On Thursday, Prime Video will premiere “Beast Games” hosted by Jimmy Donaldson, also known as MrBeast. This competition show promises to break 40 world records, including a $5,000,000 prize, the largest ever offered on a competition series. Challenges range from being chased by navy seals to sack races.
Also on Thursday, back on BBC One at 9.00pm, “The Great Celebrity Sewing Bee” will air a festive special episode. Hosted by Sara Pascoe, the celeb contestants, including Kellie Bright, Fatiha El-Ghorri, Charlotte Crosby, and H from Steps, will be tasked with making an advent calendar and turning old onesies into Christmas costumes.
Finally, on Sunday at 7.30pm on Sky, “Bad Tidings” starring Lee Mack and Chris McCausland, who play warring neighbors Neil and Scott, will air. This comedy special promises plenty of laughs as the two neighbors are forced to face a Christmas crisis together when their street loses power and they have to fend off a burgling crime family.
