Fantasy Hockey 2024-25: Strength of Schedule and Streaming Targets for Week 11
Fantasy hockey can be a wild ride, but you know what’s even wilder? Strategizing your lineup to make sure you’re set up for success each week. And that’s where our Weekly Schedule tool comes in clutch! By identifying which players have four games a week, you can seriously up your chances of dominating your fantasy hockey matchups.
So, how exactly does this all work? Well, I factor in Defensive Ratings, which are rankings that tell you how tough a team’s defense is on a scale of 0-100 (0 being the best and 100 being the worst). By adding up the Defensive Ratings for the teams your players will face in a week, we get a total score to determine the strength of the schedule. We’re looking for players who not only have a lot of games but also have easy matchups.
Let’s dive into our Week 11 Strength of Schedule and some streaming targets:
Casey Mittelstadt (C – COL – 19% Rostered)
Mittelstadt from the Avalanche is looking like a prime pick this week because Colorado snagged the top spot for the Strength of Schedule. With three light night games, Mittelstadt is set to shine. Recently, he was bumped up to Colorado’s top power-play unit and has been logging big minutes in their top-6. Plus, Mittelstadt has been racking up the assists, making him a solid pick for some quick points.
Warren Foegele (LW/RW – LAK – 3% Rostered)
Over in the Kings’ corner, Foegele is a player to watch this week with their strong schedule. Despite just having one light night game, his consistent shot volume gives him a solid floor. With an average of 3.2 shots on goal per game over the last 10 games, Foegele has been pulling his weight with goals and assists. Keep an eye on Alex Turcotte as well, who might see an uptick in production playing alongside Anze Kopitar and Adrian Kempe.
Josh Norris (C – OTT – 40% Rostered)
Norris may not be widely available, but he’s been delivering as one of the Senators’ top players. He’s been on a hot streak, scoring goals and dishing out assists while firing off shots on goal. Even with Ottawa’s schedule not being the strongest this week, Norris is a reliable pick for some points.
Aliaksei Protas (C/LW – WSH – 25% Rostered)
Looking to Washington, Protas stands out with the Capitals having four games this week, three of which are on light nights. This could be crucial for those in leagues with limited roster space. Protas has been on fire lately, putting up points and plenty of shots on goal. Keep an eye on him for a solid fantasy performance.
Pierre-Luc Dubois (C/LW – WSH – 24% Rostered)
Dubois has been a steady scorer for the Capitals, chipping in with goals and assists in recent games. After a slow start in the goal-scoring department, Dubois has picked up the pace and is worth considering for your lineup this week.
Evan Rodrigues (C/LW – 6% Rostered)
Rodrigues may not have a consistent role with the Panthers, but when he’s on the ice, he’s often playing with top-tier talent. Florida’s schedule this week may not be the easiest, but all four games are on light nights, making Rodrigues a sneaky pick for some extra points. Keep an eye on his production as he looks to continue his recent scoring streak.
