Annihilus Rumored to be Main Villain in Marvel’s Nova Series

Marvel Comics? Annihilus is a formidable cosmic threat and the ruler of the Negative Zone, a dimension full of dangers and strange creatures. Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, Annihilus made his first appearance in Fantastic Four Annual #6 back in 1968. This villain gained incredible abilities through the Cosmic Control Rod, including energy manipulation, flight, and long life.

The plot synopsis for the upcoming Nova series promises an action-packed cosmic adventure. Following the aftermath of Annihilation, Nova, also known as the Human Rocket, emerges as the last of the Nova Corps. With threats lurking from the farthest corners of the Marvel Universe, Nova becomes our sole hope for protection.

Filming for the series is set to commence in late 2025 or early 2026. Sabir Pirzada, known for his contributions to Marvel’s Moon Knight and Ms. Marvel, will be the series writer. Fans can expect to see familiar faces in the cast, with Glenn Close reprising her role as Nova Prime Irani Rael and John C. Reilly returning as Rhomann Dey.

In an exciting revelation from Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, it was confirmed that Richard Rider will take the lead in the Nova series. Feige expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “It’s happening, it’s coming together. Richard Rider, yep.” Although the release date is still pending, Nova is set to premiere on Disney+.
