Jake Peacock USF Golf News and Updates
The game of golf is all about routine—it’s the little things that can make the biggest difference. USF Senior Jake Peacock has truly distinguished himself as one of the best golfers in the country. This past fall, the Georgia native kicked off his senior year with a win and two top-ten finishes, helping the Bulls secure a spot in the NCAA top 25.
“I’m just focusing on what I can control,” said the Bulls Senior. “Figuring out how I can improve and enhance our chances of making it to the national championship.”
Jake’s golf journey started early; by 15 months, he was already swinging a makeshift golf club his parents handed him in the form of a snorkel. It wasn’t long before he was hitting pennies off the carpet against the wall. Starting in competitions at just 7 years old, this Bulls senior has quickly become one of the most accomplished golfers in school history. Last year, he made history by becoming the fifth player in the program’s history to win an Individual Conference title.
His head coach, Steve Bradley, describes Jake as a solid ball striker from tee to green. But it’s his skills on the greens that set him apart and will be crucial for his success as a professional golfer in the future.
As Jake and his teammates gear up for the upcoming spring season, they are laser-focused on defending their conference and individual titles with the ultimate goal of securing a fourth trip to the national championship. No matter what unfolds this fall, Jake Peacock’s impact on the Bulls Golf program is sure to be remembered for years to come.
