Frankie Muniz to Star in Malcolm in the Middle Reboot
Disney+ has just announced some exciting news for all the Malcolm in the Middle fans out there – a revival is in the works! Even better, original stars Frankie Muniz, Bryan Cranston, and Jane Kaczmarek are all set to return.
The revival will consist of four episodes and is being created by the original series creator, Linwood Boomer. In this new chapter, we’ll see Muniz’s character, Malcolm, now a father himself, getting pulled back into the family chaos at his parents Hal and Lois’s 40th wedding anniversary party.
“Malcolm in the Middle is a landmark sitcom that captured the essence of family life with humor, heart, and relatability,” shared Ayo Davis, president of Disney Branded Television. “Its hilarious and heartfelt portrayal of a lovably chaotic family resonated with audiences of all ages, and we’re so excited to welcome the original cast back to bring that magic to life again.”
While details like the premiere date and additional returning cast members have yet to be revealed, fans can certainly look forward to revisiting the misadventures of Malcolm alongside his brothers Francis, Reese, and Dewey. The original series, which aired between 2000 and 2006, was a hit, winning seven Emmy Awards.
