Reboot of Emmy-Winning Series ‘Friday Night Lights’ Comes to Peacock
Exciting news for fans of “Friday Night Lights”! A reboot of the beloved Emmy-winning series is in the works and will be available on Peacock, the NBCUniversal streaming service. The original show, which aired in 2006, was inspired by a nonfiction book written by H.G. “Buzz” Bissinger, a former Inquirer reporter and Vanity Fair contributor. The book followed the journey of the Permian High School football team in Odessa, Texas, as they worked their way to becoming state champions.
