Paramount+ has snagged the French and Italian streaming rights to the BAFTA-winning documentary White Nanny, Black Child, produced by Doc Hearts and TigerLily Productions and directed by Andy Mundy-Castle. This moving film is set to premiere on December 13, 2024. The documentary follows a group of nine adults as they share their experiences at a therapeutic retreat, offering a poignant exploration of identity, belonging, and the complexities of family dynamics.
With a BAFTA under its belt for Best Specialist Factual, White Nanny, Black Child has also been honored with a Royal Television Society Award for Best History Documentary and the Representation of Race & Ethnicity Award at the 2024 MIPCOM Cannes Diversify TV Awards, where it was hailed as a “fearless production and a unanimous winner.”
The film is helmed by Andy Mundy-Castle (known for David is Dying, The Fade, and Jimmy Akingbola: Handle with Care) and produced by Natasha Dack Ojumu, an acclaimed figure in the industry with credits such as Eno, Blue Bag Life, and The Lovers and the Despot.
