Dallas Film Commission Appoints New Commissioner to Lead Film and TV Initiatives in the City
The Dallas Film Commission has a new leader, Katie Schuck, who is ready to showcase Dallas as a sought-after spot for film and television production. Schuck joins Visit Dallas from Georgia, where she spent over eight years with the Savannah Regional Film Commission. Her experience includes working on major films like “Captain America: Brave New World.”
In her role as Dallas Film Commissioner, Schuck aims to boost the city’s visibility as a prime destination for entertainment industry projects. Her background in scouting locations for films like Clint Eastwood’s “Juror #2” and the upcoming comedy “Bride Hard” gives her the expertise to attract more productions to Dallas. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in film and television production, bringing a wealth of knowledge to the table.
With more than 15 years in the industry, Schuck has partnered with studios and streaming services such as Sony, Netflix, Disney, Apple, and Amazon. She plans to build on Dallas’ creative potential by highlighting the city’s diverse locations, skilled workforce, and incentive offerings to industry stakeholders. By forging partnerships with studios and production companies, she hopes to make Dallas a top-tier choice for future projects.
