Lisa Kudrow’s Post-‘Friends’ Reunion Frequency with Co-Stars
Former “Friends” star Lisa Kudrow recently shared some insight into how often she and her co-stars from the show stayed in touch after the series ended. During an episode of Jesse Tyler Ferguson’s “Dinner’s on Me” podcast, Kudrow revealed that she, Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, and the late Matthew Perry didn’t meet up frequently after the show’s finale in 2004.
Despite the limited get-togethers, the cast’s bond remained strong when they did reunite. According to Kudrow, the group only had dinner together once since the show ended, but the closeness they shared during those meetings was evident.
In a more recent reunion in 2021 for an HBO Max special, which marked their second time together in 17 years, the cast gathered to reminisce about their time on the show. When Matthew Perry tragically passed away in October 2023, Kudrow took the opportunity to reflect on their time together while rewatching the series.
Perry’s death, caused by an accidental drug overdose at the age of 54, was a difficult time for the cast. Kudrow, along with her fellow cast members, paid tribute to him on social media, with heartfelt messages and throwback photos.
Kudrow also shed light on the off-screen dynamics of the “Friends” cast during an appearance on the “Armchair Expert” podcast. She emphasized the effort they put into maintaining their friendships and the importance of respectful communication among the group. Despite any disagreements or issues that arose, they always approached them with openness and mutual respect.
The insight shared by Kudrow provides a glimpse into the lasting bonds formed among the “Friends” cast, showcasing the significance of their connection both on and off the screen.
