Kirstie Ward, Financial Planning Manager and Chief Compliance Officer at Palisades Hudson, has a lovable dog named Blue, who she adopted from the Broward County Humane Society in 2013. Blue, a pitbull/hippo mix, brings joy to Kirstie’s life with his big personality and expressive face. At 12 years old, Blue is still full of spunk, despite his arthritis. Kirstie even bought a giant stroller to take him on walks since he can’t go as far as he used to.
One of the most interesting shows Kirstie has watched recently is “Pachinko” on Apple TV+, which tells the story of a Korean family in the 1900s and highlights the discrimination against Korean immigrants in Japanese society.
During the pandemic lockdown, Kirstie picked up the hobby of travel hacking with credit card points to save money on her adventures. She learned tips and tricks from social media and YouTube, with Max Miles Points being her favorite travel influencer to learn from. Travel hacking has allowed her to explore the world without breaking the bank.
Among the many memorable places Kirstie has visited, Easter Island holds a special place in her heart. This remote island in Polynesia, known for its moai statues, left a lasting impression on her when she attended her aunt and uncle’s wedding ceremony there.
Looking ahead, Kirstie is excited about attending the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix next December, fueled by her newfound interest in Formula 1 through watching “Formula 1: Drive to Survive” during the pandemic.
