Halsey Creating ‘Bloodlust’ Series for Amazon Prime Video
This past year has been a big one for Halsey, with the release of her latest album, The Great Impersonator. But it turns out that’s not all she’s been up to lately. According to Variety, Halsey is currently working on a dark comedy series called Bloodlust for Amazon’s Prime Video.
In this new project, Halsey will be taking on the roles of creator, writer, and executive producer, although she won’t be starring in the show. Ti West will serve as the director and executive producer, with Mark Friedman as an executive producer and showrunner. Halsey’s manager, Anthony Li, is also on board as an executive producer.
While details about the plot are still under wraps, the series has been in development at Amazon for quite some time, with Halsey, Li, and Friedman already attached. As of now, there’s no word on when Bloodlust will be released.
Although Halsey won’t be acting in this particular project, she has been expanding her acting resume in recent years. Fans may recognize her voice role in 2021’s Sing 2, as well as her appearances in 2023’s Americana and this year’s MaXXXine, which was written, directed, and produced by Ti West.
This news comes in the wake of Halsey’s recent hospitalization, during which she shared, “I’m home from the hospital now after a few days, so a win is a win! […] I had a seizure! Very scary! Don’t recommend it!”
Keep an eye out for more updates on Bloodlust and Halsey’s future projects!
