Hulu Series on Murdaugh Murders to be Filmed in Atlanta

Hulu is diving into the captivating world of the Murdaugh family with a new scripted series set to start filming in Atlanta in March. The series will be produced at Doraville’s Assembly Studios, with production slated to run from March 3rd to June 13th, 2025.

Actor Jason Clarke, known for his roles in “Oppenheimer” and HBO’s “Winning Time,” will portray Alex Murdaugh, who is currently serving a life sentence for the tragic deaths of his wife and son in 2021. Patricia Arquette, an Oscar-winning actress recognized for her work in “Medium” and “Deliverance,” among other projects, will play Murdaugh’s wife Maggie.

The Murdaugh family, once a powerful presence in South Carolina’s Lowcountry region, has faced a series of legal and ethical challenges over the years. The family’s story has already been the subject of a popular Netflix documentary and a Lifetime movie, and now Hulu is taking on this complex narrative with its own limited series.
