North Jackson fishing duo places in top 20 in debut tournament
A dynamic fishing duo from North Jackson made a splash in their first tournament by snagging a top-20 finish. Nick Wynne and Tanner Peacock reeled in the 20th spot out of 58 pairs of anglers at the Bass Federation and FLW Alabama High School State Tournament on Lake Eufaula. Their impressive three-fish catch weighed in at 4.3 pounds.
Unfortunately, North Jackson’s other two pairs of anglers weren’t able to weigh in any keepers, according to coach Roy Ryan. Despite not placing, Ryan emphasized the value of the experience gained by the young anglers and highlighted that they had a great time.
The next exciting opportunity for North Jackson’s fishing enthusiasts is coming up on July 9-11 at Lake Pickwick. So, mark your calendars and stay tuned for more fishing adventures from these talented high school fishermen.
