Exciting news for “Yellowstone” fans! Paramount is all set to bring back Season 1 of the “Yellowstone” prequel “1923” on TV this Sunday. Created by Taylor Sheridan, “1923” is the second prequel in the “Yellowstone” series, following the events of the limited series “1883,” which premiered in 2021.

In “1923,” we’ll get to meet a new generation of Duttons, led by patriarch Jacob and matriarch Cara, portrayed by Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren. The series delves into the early 20th century, a time marked by pandemics, droughts, and the end of Prohibition in the mountain west where the Duttons reside.

Jacob and Cara Dutton are the ancestors of the present-day Yellowstone Dutton ranch owner, John Dutton, while Jacob is the brother of James Dutton, played by Tim McGraw in “1883.”

“1923” originally premiered on Dec. 18, 2022, and quickly became a hit, drawing 7.4 million total viewers across Paramount+ and linear previews in the U.S. If you’re wondering how to watch Season 1 of “1923,” you’re in luck! All 8 episodes are available for streaming on Paramount+, and there will also be a special linear airing of the series on Paramount Network. Starting December 8, you can catch the first season of “1923” on TV, airing immediately after a new episode of “Yellowstone.”

The cast of “1923” includes big names like Harrison Ford, Helen Mirren, Brandon Sklenar, Darren Mann, and many more. Plus, the good news is that Season 2 of “1923” is already confirmed by Paramount+, set to premiere on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2025.

Filming for the series took place in Austin, Texas, before moving to Butte, Montana. Co-creator Taylor Sheridan has revealed that Season 2 will be a continuation of the story, promising new challenges and unfinished business for the Duttons.

Fans can expect a thrilling journey ahead as Spencer races against time to save his family, while Alexandra embarks on her own harrowing journey to find love. With Sheridan hinting that Season 2 could be the end of “1923,” it’s a season you definitely won’t want to miss!
