Netflix Fixing Buffering Issues Before NFL and WWE Premieres

Netflix has been working hard to solve those pesky buffering issues people have been experiencing. And guess what? They’ve done it just in time for the exciting Christmas Day NFL games and the upcoming debut of World Wrestling Entertainment’s Raw on January 6!

Netflix and WWE have been getting everyone amped up about their new 10-year rights deal, valued at over $5 billion. This means that WWE’s flagship weekly show will now be a key feature on Netflix. And don’t worry, Netflix says they’ve fixed those performance problems they had last month, so you can watch without any interruptions.

There has been a lot of talk about Netflix’s coverage of the recent Jake Paul–Mike Tyson boxing match, which ran into some issues. But the NFL is standing by Netflix, reporting an average global audience of 108 million viewers for the fight—although these numbers weren’t confirmed by a third-party agency.

Netflix’s chief content officer, Bela Bajaria, shared, “Our teams moved quickly to stabilize everything after the Paul-Tyson event. We’re learning from these experiences and gearing up for more exciting content, like the NFL and Beyoncé on Christmas, and of course, WWE.”

Even WWE’s Paul “Triple H” Levesque isn’t sweating potential streaming problems, joking, “If it blinks a couple of times and we do 60 million households, I’m good with that.”

And don’t worry, WWE assures fans that even though Raw is moving to Netflix, the show will stay family-friendly and advertiser-friendly. WWE president Nick Khan reassured everyone, saying, “It’s going to stay that way. I would look for more global flair, especially as the relationship continues to develop.”

On the business side, Netflix has been on fire in the stock market, with shares up 96% this year and over 20% in the past month. Investors are excited by Netflix’s massive 282.7 million subscriber base and its potential for growth as it dives into the advertising business.

So, there you have it. Netflix is ready for some exciting sports action and entertainment, and they’ve got the buffering issues under control. Time to sit back, relax, and enjoy the show!
