This just in: Prime Video has a new series that promises to bring a mix of mayhem, murder, and maple syrup straight to your screen. “The Sticky” is a darkly funny heist comedy inspired by the real-life “Great Canadian Maple Syrup Heist” that took place in 2011 and 2012. Picture this: Ruth Landry, a tough maple syrup farmer played by Margo Martindale, teams up with a hot-tempered Bostonian mobster and an affable French Canadian security guard to pull off a multimillion-dollar heist. Of course, things get sticky along the way, making for a wild ride you won’t want to miss.

But wait, there’s more! Netflix is serving up an original film called “Mary.” This biblical epic follows Mary, shunned after a miraculous conception and forced to go into hiding with Joseph to protect baby Jesus from the murderous King Herod, played by Anthony Hopkins.
