Exeter student performing in Christmas at Belmont Live from Nashville – streaming now

Belmont University’s Kolby Knickerbocker is set to join over 600 student musicians and vocalists in the annual concert tradition, “Christmas at Belmont: Live from Nashville.” Starting on Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 8 p.m. EST / 7 p.m. CST, this festive event will be available for streaming on Prime Video and the Amazon Music channel on Twitch, reaching a global audience for the first time.

Featuring a variety of traditional carols, classical masterworks, and seasonal favorites, this event showcases the musical talent at Belmont while offering a glimpse into the university’s commitment to creativity and comprehensive training. Director of Choral Activities Dr. Jeffery Ames described the performance as a mix of different styles, ranging from choral orchestral pieces to pop ensembles and country music, highlighting the diversity of talent at Belmont.

With more than 600 student musicians and vocalists participating, viewers will have the opportunity to experience the depth of musical education at Belmont. Filmed live at the University’s Fisher Center for the Performing Arts, the event will feature over 15 student choirs and ensembles, including the Belmont Chorale, Symphony Orchestra, Southbound (country), and Voxology (Gospel, R&B), among others.

In addition to the student performances, the event will include special guest appearances by Belmont alumni Ashley Cooke, Cody Fry, and Dwan Hill. Cooke, a rising country music star and 2019 corporate communications graduate, recently celebrated her first No. 1 song. Cody Fry, a 2012 commercial music alumnus, has received acclaim for his music, including a Grammy nomination. Dwan Hill, a multiple Grammy and Dove award winner, founded The Choir Room and serves as an adjunct professor in Belmont’s songwriting program.

The “Christmas at Belmont: Live from Nashville” broadcast will kick off on Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 8 p.m. EST, 7 p.m. CST on Prime Video and the Amazon Music channel on Twitch, and will be available for streaming throughout the holiday season. For more information, visit belmont.edu/christmas.
