30th Annual Critics Choice Awards TV Nominations Announced

The nominees for the 30th annual Critics Choice Awards TV categories were announced by the Critics Choice Association (CCA). The winners will be revealed on Sunday, January 12, 2025, during the televised gala on E! hosted by Chelsea Handler. The show will also be available for streaming on Peacock the following day.

Leading the pack with six nominations is “Shōgun” from FX/Hulu. The show earned a nod for Best Drama Series, with cast members Hiroyuki Sanada and Anna Sawai both recognized for their performances. Other members of the cast, including Tadanobu Asano, Takehiro Hira, and Moeka Hoshi, also received nominations in various categories.

Following closely behind with four nominations each are “Abbott Elementary” (ABC), “Disclaimer” (Apple TV+), “Hacks” (HBO Max), “The Diplomat” (Netflix), “The Penguin” (HBO Max), and “What We Do in the Shadows” (FX). These shows received nominations in categories like Best Comedy Series, Best Limited Series, and various acting categories.

For example, “Abbott Elementary” received nominations for Quinta Brunson, Tyler James Williams, and Janelle James in different acting categories. “Disclaimer” saw nominations for Kevin Kline, Cate Blanchett, and Leila George, while the cast of “Hacks” was recognized with nods for Jean Smart, Paul W. Downs, and Hannah Einbinder in various categories.

The full list of television category nominations can be found below. Nominations for the film categories will be announced on December 12, 2024. The Critics Choice Awards are known for being a strong indicator of future award show success, notably the Academy Awards.
