Prime Video Begins Production on New Fallout Season: ‘Ghoul’ Reveals First Photo
Prime Video is gearing up for the highly anticipated second season of the post-apocalyptic blockbuster, Fallout. The talented Walton Goggins, known for his role as the hulk, recently shared a behind-the-scenes photo from the makeup process.
In the first season, Goggins captivated audiences with his portrayal of former actor Cooper Howard, who survives the nuclear apocalypse and undergoes a transformation into a mutant. The actor shared his emotional connection to the role, stating, “Back in the saddle again… Damn, it feels good to put on this leather again. I do it for the love of the game.”
Fallout’s debut season on Prime Video broke records, garnering the attention of 65 million viewers within the first 16 days of its release. Only rivaled by “The Lord of the Rings,” the show received critical acclaim, with a 94% rating from critics and a 90% rating from viewers on Rotten Tomatoes. Additionally, the series earned an impressive 16 Emmy nominations.
Showrunner Graham Wagner has revealed ambitious plans for the future, aiming for a total of five seasons for the show. Joining the creative team are Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, renowned for their work on the series “The Wild West.”
Set in the year 2296, 219 years after a devastating nuclear war, Fallout explores the lives of three central characters: Lucy, a denizen of “Vault 33,” her father and Vault overseer Hank, and the mercenary Cooper Howard. The main roles are portrayed by Ella Purnell, Walton Goggins, and Kyle MacLachlan.
With the second season in the works, fans of the Fallout universe have much to look forward to as the story continues to unfold on Prime Video.
