Marian Price Lawsuit Against Disney+ for ‘Say Nothing’ Scene

Legal proceedings against Disney because of her portrayal in the series ‘Say Nothing’. The series depicts the murder of Jean McConville by the IRA in 1972, a tragic event in Northern Ireland known for leaving Ms. McConville’s ten children orphaned.

Marian Price, also known as Marian McGlinchey, has been involved in the Boston College criminal proceedings and has taken issue with the series’ portrayal of her involvement in the death of Jean McConville. Her lawyer, Peter Corrigan from Phoenix Law, expressed deep concern over the allegations made in the series against his client, stating that they are unfounded and harmful.

The case is significant as it raises questions about the accuracy and responsibilities of filmmakers when depicting real historical events and individuals. Disney+ has yet to comment on the legal action being taken by Marian Price.
