Great news for streaming fans in South Korea! Paramount Global Content Distribution has just inked a deal with Coupang Play to bring a new Paramount+ branded destination to the service. This means that early next year, viewers in South Korea will have access to a wide range of content from Paramount+, including shows from Showtime, CBS Studios, MTV Entertainment Studios, Nickelodeon, Republic Pictures, and Paramount Pictures.
Dan Cohen, the chief content licensing officer at Paramount and president of Republic Pictures, expressed his excitement about expanding the partnership with Coupang. He emphasized the deep understanding that Coupang Play has of its customers’ preferences and the demand for high-quality films, TV series, and originals. Together, they aim to create value for subscribers, licensees, and content creators.

Similar agreements have been made with platforms like Cosmote in Greece, Streamz in Belgium, MultiChoice in Africa, JioCinema in India, Mono in Thailand, beIN in the Middle East and North Africa, and Blast TV in the Philippines.
