Baby Reindeer Wins Drama Category at Rose d’Ors with Netflix Winning Three Prizes

Netflix’s Baby Reindeer took home the prize for best drama at this year’s Rose d’Or Awards. The show, created by Richard Gadd, is based on his own experiences with a stalker and beat out tough competition to win. Netflix had a great night overall, with Ambika Mod winning the individual Emerging Talent award for her role in One Day, and Squid Game: The Challenge snagging the Competition Reality prize. Gary Oldman’s performance in Slow Horses on Apple TV+ was recognized with the Performance of the Year award, and Rosario Fiorello received the Lifetime Achievement honor.
Belgium was also in the spotlight, winning in three categories with shows like Dertigers 2, Niks Te Zien, and Batavia. Norway’s NRK claimed victory in the Comedy Drama and Sitcom category with Dates in Real Life. Other winners included Taskmaster for Comedy Entertainment, Gladiators for Studio Entertainment, and Ukraine’s War: The Other Side for News and Current Affairs.
The full list of winners covered a wide range of genres, including Audio, Multiplatform, Children and Youth, Arts, Documentary, and more. It was a great night celebrating the best in entertainment, with comedian Sophie Duker hosting the ceremony and adding humor and wit to the event.
