Anya Taylor-Joy to Star in Apple TV+ Series “Lucky”
Anya Taylor-Joy is set to star in and executive produce the upcoming Apple TV+ series Lucky, which is based on Marissa Stapley’s popular novel. With the book being a selection from Reese Witherspoon’s book club, it’s sure to captivate audiences.
The series will follow Taylor-Joy as a young woman who has left her criminal past behind, only to be pulled back in for one last daring escapade. The screenplay is being crafted by Cassie Pappas and Jonathan Tropper, who will also be leading as executive producers and showrunners.
Tropper’s involvement in the project is part of a collaboration with Apple, while Lauren Neustadter and Witherspoon will also be on board as executive producers through their company Hello Sunshine. Taylor-Joy will also be wearing her producer hat for Ladykiller Films.
Known for her standout performance in Netflix’s The Queen’s Gambit, as well as roles in films like The Witch and Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, Taylor-Joy’s star power is sure to shine in this upcoming series. Fans can also look forward to seeing her in projects like The Gorge with Miles Teller, Sacrifice alongside Chris Evans and Salma Hayek Pinault, and an adaptation of How to Kill Your Family.
