Amazon to stream documentary on Real Madrid’s Champions League victory 2023-24
A documentary showcasing Real Madrid’s impressive Champions League victory in the 2023-24 season is set to premiere on Amazon Prime soon. Sources close to the project, who wish to remain anonymous, have revealed to The Athletic that the documentary will be officially announced in the coming days and then available for viewing shortly after.
Fans can expect to see interviews with key players and staff who played vital roles in Madrid’s successful Champions League campaign. The team secured their 15th European Cup by defeating Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in the final back in June, marking their second title in three seasons under the guidance of manager Carlo Ancelotti.
This upcoming Amazon documentary will adopt a similar format to the popular Until the End series on Apple TV+, which provided an intimate look at Madrid’s 2021-22 La Liga and Champions League double. This move signifies a noteworthy shift for the club, who have traditionally been more reserved about sharing behind-the-scenes glimpses with the public.
Amazon has previously produced similar behind-the-scenes documentary series featuring top sports teams like Manchester City, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, and various NFL franchises. The Real Madrid documentary will be produced by Wakai, the same company behind the Apple TV+ show and an Amazon series detailing goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois’ recovery from a significant knee injury last year.
When contacted for comment, both Amazon and Real Madrid have remained tight-lipped about the project. Fans eagerly anticipating behind-the-scenes insight into the club’s Champions League triumph will have to stay tuned for further updates.
