Peacock to Stream Madden NFL Cast Texans vs Chiefs Dec. 21

This marks the first time NBC has offered an alternate broadcast for an NFL game. CBS has been broadcasting games on Nickelodeon for the last five seasons, and ESPN/ABC has the popular “ManningCast” and animated presentations featuring “The Simpsons” and “Toy Story.”

During the Texans-Chiefs game on Peacock, viewers can expect a unique blend of video game elements, including Madden 25 graphics, route trees, player cards, and player ratings, all mixed with live action. Real-time data will be provided by GenuisIQ through the league’s Next Gen Stats.

The broadcast team for the Madden NFL Cast will include Paul Burmeister on play-by-play, Madden NFL expert Kurt Benkert for commentary, and six-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Chad Ochocinco. Ochocinco will even be a real-time player “ratings adjuster.” The broadcast will also feature Henry Leverette, the winner of the Ultimate Madden Bowl championship ring in February.

NBC Sports’ Executive Producer of NFL, Fred Gaudelli, expressed excitement about this unique broadcast, saying, “Not only are the Texans and Chiefs leading their divisions, but they have standout players in multiple positions whose avatars will help us analyze the game’s biggest plays through the Madden NFL 25 lens.”
