Shane McRae and Remmie Milner discuss Season 2 of ‘Silo’
In a recent interview, Shane McRae and Remmie Milner shared some behind-the-scenes details about Season 2 of “Silo,” the gripping dystopian series now available for streaming on Apple TV+.
As tensions escalate within the silo’s walls, McRae and Milner offer insights into the shifting dynamics, hidden secrets, and challenges their characters face in the new season. From navigating complex relationships to unraveling the mysteries buried deep within the silo, the duo gives fans a peek into what’s to come.
Based on Hugh Howey’s bestselling trilogy “Wool,” “Silo” follows the story of the last ten thousand people left on Earth, living in a mile-deep shelter that shields them from the dangerous world outside. However, the origins of the silo remain a mystery, and those who try to uncover the truth face deadly consequences. Rebecca Ferguson stars as Juliette, an engineer who embarks on a journey to unravel a dark mystery that puts her life at risk.
Creator Graham Yost shared that the goal for Season 2 was to delve deeper into the story and characters, building on the mystery set up by Howey in the books. The series aims to explore the truth behind the silo and the secrets hidden within its confines.
McRae’s character, Knox, plays a crucial role in the mechanics of the silo, and his journey becomes more intricate as Season 2 unfolds, particularly with Shirley (played by Milner) by his side. Knox faces tough decisions and learns harsh truths as he navigates his responsibilities and the system he once trusted.
Milner described Shirley as driven by a primal need to find her missing friend, leading her to question the lies fed to the community. While Knox tries to maintain order, Shirley’s relentless pursuit of the truth pushes them to work together to uncover the secrets of the silo.
In addition to Ferguson, the cast of “Silo” Season 2 includes Tim Robbins, Common, Steve Zahn, Harriet Walter, Chinaza Uche, Avi Nash, and more. The 10-episode season premiered on Apple TV+ on November 15, with new episodes releasing every Wednesday until January 17, 2025.
Fans can catch up on the first season of “Silo” now streaming on Apple TV+. The series promises to deliver more intrigue, mystery, and emotional depth as the characters’ journeys continue to unfold.
