Peacock is stepping up its game by streaming the Madden NFL Cast during the December 21st match-up between the Houston Texans and the Kansas City Chiefs. This exciting new broadcast will feature elements of the EA Sports Madden 25 video game, adding a fun and interactive twist to the game.

During the Thursday night game between the Miami Dolphins and Green Bay Packers, the Madden NFL Cast was announced, marking the first time NBC has done an alternate broadcast of an NFL game. This unique approach follows in the footsteps of CBS, which has aired games on Nickelodeon for the past five seasons, and ESPN/ABC, which has the popular “ManningCast” as well as animated presentations with “The Simpsons” and “Toy Story.”

The Peacock broadcast will combine real-time data from GenuisIQ with video game elements like Madden 25 graphics, player cards, and ratings, bringing a new level of engagement to the viewing experience. The play-by-play commentary will be led by Paul Burmeister, accompanied by Madden NFL expert Kurt Benkert and former Pro-Bowl wide receiver Chad Ochocinco, who will also act as a real-time player ratings adjuster. Additionally, Henry Leverette, the Ultimate Madden Bowl champion, will join the broadcast team to provide expert analysis.

According to Fred Gaudelli, NBC Sports’ Executive Producer of NFL, “Not only are the Texans and Chiefs in first place in their respective divisions, but they have star players at multiple positions whose avatars will help us analyze the game’s biggest plays through the Madden NFL 25 lens.” This innovative approach aims to bring fans and gamers closer to the action while continuing the tradition of making football more accessible and enjoyable through the Madden video game.

So mark your calendars for December 21st at 1 p.m. EST to catch all the action on Peacock and NBC. It’s an exciting new way to experience the game that you won’t want to miss.
