Ben Stiller, known for his comedic chops, is back on screen in Hulu’s heartwarming holiday film, “Nutcrackers.” This time, he takes on the role of Mike, a no-nonsense workaholic who unexpectedly becomes a caretaker for his spirited orphaned nephews. Directed by David Gordon Green, the film draws inspiration from Green’s real-life experience with his close friend’s four sons living on a farm.

What sets “Nutcrackers” apart is the genuine bond shared by the cast both on and off-screen. The Janson brothers, Homer, Ulysses, Atlas, and Arlo, not only served as the inspiration for the film but also starred in it. Reflecting on their experience, Ulysses Janson shared his excitement about working alongside his siblings and the joy they found in collaborating together during filming.

Adding a personal touch to the production, the Janson brothers generously opened their ancestral farm for shooting, with the animals featured in the movie being a part of their real-life menagerie. Even amidst their newfound Hollywood stardom, the brothers continue to tend to their farm duties, caring for about 90 animals on the farm.

The shift from rural Ohio to the glitz of Hollywood may seem overwhelming, but for the Janson brothers, working alongside big names like Ben Stiller and Linda Cardellini was a dream come true. Cardellini, who plays a role in “Nutcrackers,” praised Stiller’s performance and highlighted the film’s universal message of family and love. Stiller, in turn, expressed his joy in creating a film that blends humor, heart, and a touch of edginess, all delivered with genuine warmth.

“Nutcrackers” is a perfect addition to your holiday movie lineup, streaming exclusively on Hulu. Don’t miss out on this heartwarming tale of unexpected bonds and unconditional love.
